 Japan Master Scholarship, UNU in many fields - The program is intended for recent graduates, professionals, and practitioners, offering the unique opportunity to study at a global university within the framework of the United Nations. It provides students with the knowledge and skills to make important contributions towards solving global issues, whether through employment by UN agencies, other international organizations, governments, civil society, or the private sector.

UNU-ISP welcomes applicants with:
* A keen interest in the pressing global issues on the UN agenda, and in particular those of sustainability, development, and peace.
* The intention to proactively apply academic research findings to policy making.
* A strong desire to contribute to the solving of problems concerning global environment, peace, and development, through an interdisciplinary approach.

This programme addresses pressing global issues of sustainability, climate change, development, peace building, and human rights through an innovative interdisciplinary approach that integrates the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

Applicants who wish to apply for a scholarship must submit the Scholarship Application Form concurrently with the Application Form. Please refer to the Scholarship Application Guide for more information.

UNU may terminate the scholarship at any time during the scholarship period if the scholarship holder is considered not to be able to successfully complete the programme. Also, UNU has the right to terminate the scholarship at any time if any of the information on the scholarship holder’s application form is false or misleading.

Scholarships are available for outstanding applicants. The scholarship covers the tuition fees, and provides a monthly allowance of 150,000 yen for living expenses. 150,000 yen is the average monthly living cost for an international student without dependents in Tokyo, although this will vary depending on the lifestyle of the student. The monthly allowance will be provided for a maximum of 24 months. Travel costs to and from Japan, visa costs and health/accident insurances costs must be covered by the student. In some cases, tuition fee may be waived for applicants who are not selected as scholarship recipients.
