Terrorism and International Security Studies

Higher education in Indonesia has recently established a new primary single terrorism and security studies master's project will be the relationship between the international community and the Department of Political Science, Management. Alliance aims to achieve at least in two aspects, University of Indonesia. First, it helps the Government to formulate policies to combat terrorism, the fight against terrorism in the role. This will require strategies to prevent terrorist activities, and efforts to protect civil rights and social stability. Our reason is to support and inform its mission, the national fight against terrorism and preventing civil rights and freedom, the right people, good for impairment management, security and social services. Secondly, will help to create a good justice from the government and academic institutions, terrorism research program in power, political parties, institutions and private entities.

Terrorism is a big problem in Indonesia as part of the vision problemmatic face and the world with the global uncertainty. These include financial instability, climate change, epidemics and all kinds of threats to a network of organizations and various illegal acts of other citizens is running. Globalization has promoted the increased volume of trade and wealth, it also from a single ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, made in China. However, we must understand that this will be the uneven distribution of wealth. Globalization has also created a lower-class rebels, which provides a new criminal activity and political violence, the opportunity to very large scale. This is not only limited to organized crime, but money-laundering, corruption has also been affected, weapons proliferation and the emergence of bandit regime.

Indonesian singles security sector, parliaments, executive agencies and security agencies can no longer ignore the cross-border security issues. Although the fight against terrorism, the peak of death and arrest or kill police succcessful accumulation, we can ask ourselves, intelligence and security agencies have sufficient capacity to address issues such as drugs, women and children, illicit trafficking in illegal border infiltration of other transnational issues .

- Who are the 'terrorists', and how they work?
- What is the best way to help us explain and understand terrorism and state terrorism response?
- How to participate in the national security system, the threat of terrorism?
- How the International Islamic Movement and Indonesia, the country's interaction will contribute to the country's Islamic terrorism?
- Why did the popularity of political Islam in Indonesia to get it, why the Government was a major decision-making power decisions. How do other acts of violence campaign?
- What is the Middle East and South Asia and Southeast Asia, the Islamic Movement of sports driving force for development, especially in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia?
- How can the process of globalization, the impact of terrorism.
- How do we understand democracy, totalitarianism and terrorism, the relationship between?
- How to by the State or non-state organizations to the threat of terrorism, how to bring this anti-terrorism policy changes?
- How to Indonesia and other Southeast Asian and Western military and economic support, interactive history of the modernization of Asian countries?
