Master Degree Scholarship By The European TEMA 2011

Master Degree for international students, TEMA Master Course is offered by a consortium of the following European universities: Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Hungary, École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales of Paris, France, University of Catania, Italy, and Charles University of Prague, Czech Republic.

TEMA graduates receive double or multiple degrees (according to their mobility track), as well as a diploma supplement at the end of their studies, allowing them to enter into the professions in the area of local, regional, national and European territorial administration, in urban planning and research institutions.

USA Fellowship For Sciences Graduates Around The World

USA fellowship for sciences graduates around the world -The name of the recipient and fellowship won will be reported in the AAFCS Annual Conference Program Book. Scholarships for Develping Countries young Scientists 2011

Applicants may be registered for a PhD degree in their home country (SANDWICH option), or may enrol in a PhD course at ICCBS (FULL-TIME option). In both cases, the programme entails only one journey to the host country.

Applicants should be aware that they can apply for only one fellowship per year. With the exception of the fellowships “for research collaboration”, all other fellowship programmes offered by TWAS and TWOWS that are mutually exclusive.

TWAS-ICCBS Postgraduate Fellowships are tenable at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) – comprising the H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry and the Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular and Drug Research, www.iccs.edu – for a period of up to four years for studies leading to a PhD degree in the following fields: organic chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular medicine, pharmacology or physical chemistry.

Applicants for these fellowships must meet the following criteria:

* be a maximum age of 35 years on 31 December of the year of application;
* be nationals of a developing country (other than Pakistan);
* provide a certificate of good health from a qualified medical doctor;
* provide an official Acceptance Letter from the supervisor or head of department at ICCBS (see sample Acceptance Letter included in the application form).

If awarded, applicants must sit a compulsory entrance examination in either April or October prior to starting their Fellowship. For the entrance examination, candidates can enter Pakistan on a visitor’s visa. Upon successful completion of the entrance examination, candidates will immediately begin their research program  and the necessary requirements for a study visa will be implemented while at the host institution. Local hospitality for candidates traveling to Pakistan for the entrance examination will be provided by ICCBS.

ICCBS will provide a monthly stipend which should be used to cover living costs, such as food, accommodation and health insurance. The monthly stipend will not be convertible into foreign currency.

University of Florida Award For International students

All scholarships require that you meet the following renewal criteria:
    * Maintain a minimum cumulative USF GPA of 3.0
    * Enroll as a full-time undergraduate student (minimum twelve (12) USF credit hours per semester) in each term that scholarship funds are received. Funds are disbursed in the fall and spring semesters only
    * Complete 30 USF credit hours per academic year. NOTE: Summer session courses completed at USF may count towards your scholarship renewal. Cross-enrolling (transient) at another college/university, repeating a course, receiving an incomplete grade or auditing a course are not considered as satisfying renewal criteria deficiencies. Additionally, credits earned through AP, IB, AICE or CLEP exams, dual enrollment or transfer credits from other colleges/universities are not considered toward your 30-credit-hour requirement.
Undergraduate Admissions offers competitive, merit-based scholarships to new international students each year. International students are eligible for non-need based scholarships. Edinburgh University Uk Global Scholarship For Undergraduate Students

Scholarships are offered to students who are nationals of countries outwith the EU for undergraduate study in any subject offered by the University. 20 scholarships are available for the 2011-2012 session with each award worth £2,000 per year. Awards are tenable for the duration of the programme of study.

The scholarships are competitive and awarded broadly on the basis of academic merit.
They are awarded to students who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for undergraduate study at the University of Edinburgh.
Students already on a program  are not eligible.
Applicants must also be nationals of a country outwith the EU

Completed application forms must be received by Scholarships and Student Funding Services no later than 1 April 2011.

Australia UNSW Engineering, Business, Science and Social Sciences Scholarships

The University may grant PhD UIPA holders an extension of a maximum of 6 months if their research is adversely affected by circumstances beyond their control and provided the candidate is making satisfactory progress. No extensions are possible for Masters by Research.

The duration of any of the scholarships will be reduced by any periods of study undertaken towards the degree prior to the commencement of the scholarship and during suspension of the scholarship.

All Research Scholarship holders will be given priority for residential accommodation in the New College Village @ UNSW. The village offers over 300 places (all air-conditioned), with 172 self-contained studios and the remaining places in 5-6 bedroom apartments all with ensuites. Recipients wishing to request an extension should apply in writing to the Graduate Research School, including a supervisor's supporting statement, no later than 2 months (and no earlier than 4 months) prior to the expiry of the scholarship.

Please Note: scholarship holders who gain an extension to the scholarship who also hold additional forms of allowance (such as a Faculty living allowance) will not automatically be eligible to receive an extension of the additional allowance. Scholarship holders should check with the appropriate Faculty/School office regarding the possibility of extensions for these scholarships.


Applications are open to citizens of all overseas countries (excluding applicants with Australian or New Zealand citizenship or Australian permanent resident status) who are proposing to undertake full-time study for a higher research degree at UNSW.

To be eligible for a UNSW International Research Scholarship, a student must:

    * be an international student; and
    * meet international student visa requirements as specified by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC), including the requirement to purchase and maintain a standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the Commonwealth Government Department of Health and Ageing.

Please note: Tuition Fee Remission Scholarships are only available to students who are sponsored by their home country with a living allowance/stipend of minimum value $10,000 per annum and who include the letter of offer from their home country with the application.


Students will be considered for all of the UNSW International Research Scholarships as appropriate. Only one scholarship application is required.

Uk Newcastle University Postgraduate International Scholarship

Students who wish to be considered for this scholarship should write to Professor Jakob Wisse stating the title of their proposed project and giving an outline of their proposed research. 

This applies both if you have already received an offer of a place for one of the programmes listed above, and if you are planning to apply for such a place; in the latter case, you should have applied for a place by 1st March.

The award has been established by Professor Guy Oddie (BArch 1944; Dip Town and Country Planning, 1945) to encourage the study of the Latin language. The award is named after Professor Oddie’s mother, Eleanor, whose determined support enabled him to come to Newcastle University.

UK courses and Studies for post graduate students

Gordon Memorial College, an educational institution , was built between 1899 and 1902 as part of Lord Kitchener’s wide-ranging educational reforms, and also named in honour of Gordon. In 1924, the college was merged with the new Khartoum University, as was the Kitchener School of Medicine.

The purpose of the Gordon Memorial College Trust Fund is to promote educational development in . Grants are available for educational projects  and for  nationals studying for a postgraduate course in the UK who intend to return at the end of their studies.
The Trust may also give financial assistance to  nationals towards the costs of shorter training programmes, projects and courses in the UK, and applications for funding support of new courses will also be considered.
The Gordon Memorial College Trust Fund award Grants for educational projects  and for  nationals studying for a postgraduate course in the UK who intend to return to Sudan at the end of their studies. The Trust was established in 1899 by public subscription to honour the name of General Charles George Gordon of the British army, who was killed during the Mahdi’s uprising in 1885. 
 
* A letter of support from the student’s course supervisor is essential. Applications will not be considered without such a letter.

Scholarship for developing countries by the University of Groningen

The University of Groningen inroduces this Grant-  Applicants need to meet the deadline of the respective Master’s or PhD programmes. Application forms for Master’s programmes can be found through the websites or Admissions Offices of the respective faculty or Graduate School . Application deadline for the scholarship is 22 February.
   
The grant is usually awarded for a maximum of 2 years for a Master’s degree programme, and a maximum of 4 years for a PhD. For PhD, part of the research should be conducted in the home country and part in Groningen , as  mentioned at the official website: http://www.rug.nl/prospectiveStudents/scholarships/ericBleumink

Extra criteria for PhD candidates are: applicant should be employed by a research institute of university in one of the listed countries and receive an income from the home institution, application should be supported by this organization, the University of Groningen must be able to provide an academic supervisor who will be responsible for the scientific supervision of the research

 Candidates should: be nationals of and have their permanent residence in one of the country’s listed, have a good command of the English language, be in good health so health insurance in the Netherlands can be arranged, be available for the whole period of the fellowship and be able to take part in the entire study programme, have no other means of financing the study in question.

Further criteria for approval are: (a) academic excellence, shown by academic performance and may be confirmed by letters of recommendation from university professors; (b) contribution of candidate’s education in terms of strengthening the scientific capacity in the candidate’s home country; (c) perspectives to a long-term linkage between the home institution and the University of Groningen

 Applications for student scholarships can be submitted by students from one of the eligible countries for a Master’s or equivalent programme at the University of Groningen.
 
Master's degree programs: First the candidate should apply for admission to a study programme at the University of Groningen .
When the candidate applies for this admission, he or she must indicate on the application form that his/her study performance is excellent and that he/she wishes to be nominated for a Eric Bleumink Fund scholarship.
 If the study programme agrees with the candidacy for a EBF scholarship, they will send a standard application form including the motivation of the candidate to the Board of the Eric Bleumink Fund prior to 1 March. Oxford Scholarship for Islamic students and developing countries students

The Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies is a Recognized Independent Centre of the University of Oxford. It was established in 1985 to encourage the scholarly study of Islam and the Islamic world. The monthly allowance will be provided for a maximum of 24 months. Travel costs to and from Japan, visa costs and health/accident insurances costs must be covered by the student. Switzerland Fellowship on Sustainability & Climate Change  - Fellowship Description: In order to ensure the impact of the Hub Zürich WWF Fellow, the fellow will be required to:
* Finalize a full business plan within the first six weeks of the Fellowship year
* Pro-active engagement within the Hub Zürich community
* Provide a written impact report at the end of the year
* Provide monthly updates of your amazing initiative (e.g through a video blog, blog post, or similar)
* Single applicants must make a full commitment (min. 30 hours per week) to the organization’s development for one year, teams of two or three persons may adjust accordingly

Eligibility & Selection Criteria:
The proposed ideas and projects need to
* be innovative
* effectively tackle one of the big environmental challenges of our time
* be sustainable, including financial viability
